L2Mars is an Essence pvp server with extensive custom content, aimed at a European audience. The project supports three languages: English, Russian, and Ukrainian. The server runs regular re-openings, offering players a fresh start each new season.

The project's defining feature is deep gameplay customization: a new Death Knight class, a unique Sub-Class system with free switching, four new locations (Royal Cemetery of Aden, Source of Evil, Forest of Winds, Temple of Orbis), special 5-minute hunting zones, and a reworked Random Craft system. The clan system includes DKP for loot distribution, and alliances are capped at two clans. Clan, group, and solo instance zones are all available.

PvP content features daily Team VS Team and Death Match events, a weekly Grand Olympiad in 1v1 and 3v3 formats (Friday–Sunday, with a new Hero every Monday), and Castle Sieges. A dedicated PvE mode is available during non-prime hours, alongside paid temporary PvE zones. The server uses a P2W donation model — worth keeping in mind when choosing a project.

The server runs on the Essence chronicles in pvp format with XP and SP rates of x5. Leveling includes free 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class transfers; auto skill learning is disabled — skills up to level 75 are granted without books. The new Death Knight class is available. The Sub-Class system allows free switching between subclasses. Offline hunting (.offline_farm) and offline trading (.offline) are both supported. Premium Account grants +30% to EXP/SP, +50% to adena, +30% to L Coin drop, and reduces experience loss on death by 50%.

L2Mars is aimed at players who value rich custom content within the Essence chronicles: new classes, unique locations, and reworked crafting systems. The project suits those who prefer active PvP gameplay with daily events and clan-oriented play with a DKP system. Support for Russian, English, and Ukrainian makes the server accessible to a broad EU audience.
