About the project

Interlude-online is a factional GvE (Good vs Evil) server where the world is divided into two warring sides: Dark (capital Gludio) and Light (capital Dion). This isn't a classic PvE project: adena and experience are awarded here for killing players of the opposing faction, and the reward directly depends on the strength and equipment of the slain enemy. It's impossible to attack faction allies, which makes every encounter meaningful.

Players start at level 60, immediately receiving basic gear, a profession, and buffs in their faction's capital. The server features an NPC buffer with an unlimited number of slots, and buffs do not disappear after death. Up to 31 sub-classes are available (excluding Overlord), and summons automatically receive the owner's buffs. Progress is built around the clan system, the factional Order, fort sieges, and weekly tournaments.

The project has been running for over 10 years and uses its own Unity-based client, which has been under development for over five years. Dynamic rates and game mechanics can be changed by the administration: current data is always available via the Community Board (Alt+B) or from in-game NPC managers.

Project history

Interlude-online has been in operation for over 10 years and has been continuously refined throughout this time. Over the years, the team has created its own Unity-based game client, the development of which took over five years. The project's mechanics evolve depending on the current stage of a specific 'world's' life.

Reputation & Trust

The project has been running for over 10 years and is constantly being refined, which indicates long-term support from the administration. The proprietary Unity client, developed for over five years, points to significant technical investments in the project.

Strengths

  • Unique GvE mode: adena and experience for killing players of the opposing faction, reward scales with enemy strength
  • Proprietary Unity client with up-to-date graphics, developed for over five years
  • NPC buffer with unlimited slots, buffs do not disappear after death
  • Up to 31 sub-classes per character; summons automatically receive the owner's buffs
  • Rich content: fort sieges, epic bosses (Antharas, Baium, Queen Ant), PvP bosses, TvT events, Capture the Flag, Domination, Tower Defense, and betting arena
  • Daily Olympiad with a concentrated schedule; winners receive hero status, unique skills, and free hero weapons

Trade-offs

  • Mechanics and rates are dynamically changed by the administration — current data must be constantly checked via Alt+B or with NPCs
  • GvE mode fundamentally differs from classic Lineage 2: players accustomed to standard PvE progression will need to adapt
  • Overlord is unavailable as a sub-class
